Diana Ball, representing public school teachers, is an eighth grade teacher at Amanda Clearcreek Middle School in Amanda, Ohio.
Ball teaches American History and served as a Department Head for the Social Studies Department for the district; served as a Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) member; building representative, secretary, and currently co-president for Amanda Clearcreek Educator Association (ACEA); a presenter at local staff development workshops; and currently on the Curriculum Council.
In addition, Ball is National Board Certified in Early Adolescence/English Language Arts. She was a facilitator at the NBCT Summit in November 2006. She is a Martha Jennings Scholar
She was involved with a variety of committees with Ohio Education Association such as the Improving Professional Development (IPD); Outreach Community Committee with programs such as Reach Out and Read (ROR); Area One Representative for Central Ohio that covers 25 school districts; speaker for Central Ohio Valley (COV); Uniserv; (CORCC); Executive Central Board and a member of the OEA Resolution Committee. Currently, she serves as Central/OEA Vice-President that serves 23,000 Central members in Ohio.
Ball holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Education and a Master’s Degree from Ashland University in Curriculum and Instruction. She completed 35 hours beyond the Master program through a variety of Universities and continues to grow professionally.
